SpyAxe

SpyAxe is malware (malicious software) and is categorized under “Rogue Anti-Spyware”. SpyAxe secretly installs itself onto your computer and issues fake warnings in order to manipulate you into purchasing the full version.

When detecting SpyAxe look for warnings in your task bar that will appear to be from Microsoft Security Center. The warnings (issued by SpyAxe) will alert you that your computer is infected with spyware and will urge you to run their anti-spyware tool where they prompt you to purchase.
SpyAxe is just one of many “Rogue AntiSpyware” programs on the internet today.

Take care to avoid or remove rogue anti-spyware products. Titles such as SpyFalcon, Spyware Quake, SpywareStrike, SpySheriff, and Pest Trap are all Rogue Anti-Spyware.
