Spyware Quake

Spyware Quake can be detected by looking to the system tray where an Icon will appear. Spyware Quake looks like a legitimate application catering to the removal of spyware. In reality Spyware Quake is installed by a Trojan in the attempt to trick you into buying it. The Trojan is able to change the IE default home page and redirects the web browser to malicious sites. Another symptom of Spyware Quake is you will see fake pop-up alerts that resemble system alerts. These alerts are there to again try and trick you into purchasing Spyware Quake.
